Welcome to National Bank's sponsorship form
Each year, National Bank supports hundreds of Canadian
organizations through its sponsorships program.
Our goal is to implement partnerships with organizations that
share our values and have a strong socio-economic influence in
Canada.
Sponsorships policy
To ensure that each request is handled promptly, we have
established a rigorous sponsorships policy.
The Bank gives priority to sponsorships that are aligned with
its values and strategic objectives. To help you prepare your
sponsorship request, please answer the following questions.
- Do you offer exclusivity in the banking sector?
- Does your proposed sponsorship provide the Bank with a
presence that goes beyond displaying its logo?
- How can the Bank interact with your audience?
- What added value will the Bank's presence bring to your
event? The audience? The experience?
- What is the relevance of the two organizations
associating?
- What client segment do you target (geographical distribution,
reach, demographics)?
Exclusions
To be fair and consistent, we've chosen to exclude the following
specific cases from our sponsorships policy:
- Requests to support an individual (personal benefit)
- Golf tournaments
- Support for professional and amateur athletes, except through
the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence
- Amateur sports teams
- Projects related to a political party or a candidate
belonging to a political party or lobby group
- Graduation balls and albums
- Feasibility studies
- Trips and excursions
- Public relations and advertising campaigns
- Videos and books
Sponsorship management
Sponsorship requests must be assessed using a thorough,
well-defined process, which is why the Bank has developed an
analysis grid to evaluate the relevance of each sponsorship with
respect to its business objectives. We apply the following
principles:
- Only one financial contribution is made to any given
organization annually.
- The sponsorship is not renewed automatically each year unless
a long-term agreement is in effect, and each new request must be
submitted for evaluation.
- The long-term viability of the event, the efficiency of its
administration and the soundness of its financial management are
also important criteria for the Bank in awarding a
sponsorship.
A minimum period of 3 months (90 days) is required to analyze
and assess all sponsorship requests submitted to National Bank.
Sponsorship of amateur athletes
National Bank does not award any direct sponsorships to amateur
athletes. Since 1993, the Bank has chosen instead to provide
financial support to the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence
by creating the
National Bank Bursary Program, designed to help promising
young athletes on their athletic journey as well as athletes at the
end of their career who wish to return to school.
